The Northern town of Mile 91 has gone days without Orange network leaving residents especially subscribers in pain. There have been cries all over the township.

The ugly development started past Thursday on to the time of writing this news article and it has affected hundreds of residents here.

"We have struggled for the past five days now to communicate and do Orange money transactions through Orange mobile company," Abdul Bangura, a resident and subscriber said.

One of the residents said a relative in Freetown sent him money through Orange money  but he's unable to do cash withdrawal because there's no network in the town. The unfortunate incident, the subscriber said has affected him and his family negatively.

"We have made all efforts to reach out to the company but to no avail," the anonymous subscriber added.

Nearby towns like Mathoir have network and full time coverage and it's unclear why Mile 91 isn't enjoying the facility for days prompting residents to ask questions. Among those affected are the Business Community especially those doing business in Orange money. Traders have been complaining that they have surfered the most.

"Our businesses have been affected by this ugly development in the town. We can't call our customers and do Orange money transactions from Thursday and this is very serious," Abdul Kargbo, a businessman around the Mile 91 town main junction said.

Hundreds of residents in the town are subscribers of the Orange mobile company. While the majority said they couldn't communicate with their loved ones, many complained about their businesses being interrupted by the non availability of the Orange network for the past five days. Many of the people here said they will switch over to another mobile company as an alternative if the issue isn't resolved. The town hosts a University, Banks, Radio stations and other private and public institutions. All of those institutions have been affected by this unfortunate situation.

The management of the Orange mobile company is not available for comment.
