Amid ongoing investigations into the tragic death of Sia Kamara, Communications Executive at the Freetown City Council, her family has announced that her burial will take place on September 1, 2024. Kamara’s untimely death has deeply shocked the community and is the focus of an intensive police investigation.

Kamara’s boyfriend, Kpaka, who was initially detained for eight days at the Lumley Police Station, has been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for further questioning. He remains the prime suspect in the case, with suspicions surrounding his involvement in Kamara’s death.

Sources close to the investigation revealed that an autopsy indicated Kamara suffered severe physical trauma, including seven broken ribs and spinal cord damage. The exact cause and circumstances of these fatal injuries are still unclear, but there are strong suspicions of a violent assault, possibly involving Kpaka.

Further adding to the heartbreak, Kamara was reportedly preparing to travel just three days before her death, intensifying the sorrow and frustration felt by her loved ones. It has also been reported that this was not the first instance of violence she had faced.
